I was born and raised in Denver and attended South High where I met Hilton. Then I went to CU, graduating in a multi-disciplinary history/political science program. After that I worked for Procter and Gamble, Diner's Club, United Bank of Denver and Denver Living Magazine, retiring to raise our four children. I worked at the Longmont Times Call and a couple of newspapers in Broomfield and Westminster. While being a stay at home mom I discovered computers and ended up being the system administrator and tech support at Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. After that I worked computer tech support at TCI and Qwest and discovered project management when I got tired of crawling under desks to fix computers. I was hired by Lucent after a friend recommended me and have been there for seven years working on mostly internal communications. I earned a Master's Certificate in Project Management at DU in 2003 and my Project Management Professional designation in 2005.
